The Virtual Worlds Museum™ is deeply honored to have received the 2025 AUREA Impact Award alongside Lisa Egger of Arrival Space, a recognition that reinforces the transformative power of XR in shaping the future of immersive technology. This achievement is not just a personal milestone but a testament to the collective effort of visionaries, creators, and technologists who continue to push the boundaries of what is possible in immersive technology.

Keynote Speakers

The event was elevated by the presence of incredible keynote speakers including Patrik Schumacher, Sascha Seifert, Christina Lee Storm, Anne-Sophie Panzer, Brian Schwab, Sebastian Klöß, Hilmar Koch, and Alvin Wang Graylin, who shared groundbreaking insights into the future of XR. Their thought-provoking discussions sparked new ideas and reinforced the importance of ethical innovation, interoperability, and community-driven development.

The performances throughout the event also showcased the creative potential of XR, merging technology with art in ways that captivated and inspired attendees. The synergy of these elements made the AUREA Award a truly unforgettable experience.

Nona Hendryx

Internationally recognized Singer-Songwriter & recording artist. Record Producer & writer/producer of music for Theater, Television & Film, Independent record label founder & president. Multiplayer immersive AR & VR Experience Developer, a downloadable app, The Dream Machine by Nona Hendryx; for desktop and Oculus Quest. Hendryx is known for her work as a solo artist as well as for being one-third of the trio Labelle, who had a hit with "Lady Marmalade".

Moritz Simon Geist

Moritz Simon Geist is a music producer and researcher working with sound, robotics and algorithms. Beginning his academic career in semiconductor sciences as a PhD student, Geist made a career shift to focus on art and music, where he now merges sound with robotics and algorithms. His approach to electronic music, which involves creating sound through mechanical robots, has earned him international recognition.

I also want to acknowledge and congratulate the other finalists: 2Sync, GroKit Core by 3lbXR, EMIXAR, ReCollection, and Skybox AI by Blockade Labs, whose projects exemplify the pioneering spirit of our industry. Each of them has contributed something unique and valuable to the evolution of XR, and it was a privilege to stand alongside such talented peers.
