Welcome to our Specialized worlds Exhibit, where we showcase cutting-edge virtual environments that go beyond traditional gaming and social spaces. This exhibit highlights AI-prompted worlds, augmented reality (AR) platforms, educational environments, and industrial metaverse platforms that are transforming the future of learning, training, and immersive experiences. From virtual worlds designed for kids to  private simulation environments, these specialized spaces offer unparalleled opportunities for innovation, creativity, and collaboration. Active Worlds
Active Worlds is an online virtual world, developed by ActiveWorlds Inc., a company based in Newburyport, Massachusetts, and launched on June 28, 1995. Users assign themselves a name, log into the Active Worlds universe, and explore 3D virtual worlds and environments that others have built. ActiveWorlds allows users to own worlds and universes, and develop custom 3D content. The browser has web browsing capabilities, as well as voice chat, and basic instant messaging features.

Animal Jam
Animal Jam was launched by WildWorks in 2010 as an exciting and safe online playground for kids who love animals and the outdoors. Since then, Animal Jam has expanded beyond the web to mobile apps that allow kids to keep the fun going anywhere they are.

Arthur VR
Founded in 2016, Arthur is a virtual office space that allows you and your team to meet, collaborate, and manage your work — all in Virtual Reality. The future of work is personal, agile and fully digital. Enjoy the power of in-person meetings without travel or logistics.

Breakroom
Introduced in 2020 by Sinespace, Breakroom is an ISO27001 certified platform that transforms enterprise virtual experiences. It's a secure space for interactive learning, virtual meetings, and collaboration, integrated with key business tools like SAML, enhancing professional communication and cognitive skills.

Club Cooee
Based in Kaiserslautern, cooee GmbH the operator of Club Cooee was founded in 2007 by experienced game developers Alexander Jorias and Ingo Frick together with Werner Bruckner and Markus Wiekenberg. Jorias and Frick have also created such 3D classics as “Archimedean Dynasty” and “AquaNox”. The company has received several international awards and was selected by Microsoft as one of three German firms and 70 companies worldwide to participate in the exclusive BizSpark One programme. Club Cooee is the online metaverse and social network where millions of users are socially engaged in virtual parties. Meet new people in cool chat rooms, flirt in wacky locations, or just chill out with your friends.

Core
Located in San Mateo, Calif., Manticore Games™ is the developer and operator of Core™, a digital playground and community designed to unleash imagination and explore new play experiences. Manticore Games was established by industry veterans from Electronic Arts, Blizzard, Respawn, Xfire, Roblox, Trion Worlds, Crystal Dynamics and Zynga.

Dreamwave
Dreamwave.live, a platform for creating immersive 3D worlds for virtual events, was launched in early 2020 by Active Theory, an award-winning creative technology company. Dreamwave's microverses allow users to immerse themselves in 3D environments, chat with others, and access content from the event organizer. Brands can use Dreamwave to display media such as live video, on-demand videos, photo galleries, and sponsored content. Dreamwave experiences are web-based venues where your audience can Learn more about our custom projects, or host events in our ready-made worlds.

Ed Verse
Edverse was founded in 2022. The company is an education metaverse that offers a digital learning environment that uses technology to personalize learning experiences. Edverse's services include: Learning, Training and development, and Virtual onboarding.

Foretell Reality
Foretell Reality was founded in 2016. The company specializes in virtual reality (VR) and offers services such as VR support groups, VR group therapy, and addiction treatment.

Gather Town
Gather Town was co-founded in San Francisco in 2020 by a group of young people. The virtual space was originally created for social gatherings and events during the pandemic, but was later pivoted to focus on remote work. It features Interactive virtual space that simulates real-life interactions, with an 8-bit pixelated aesthetic.

Glue
In 2004, Santtu Parikka founded Fake Production, a VR and gaming studio that won multiple awards for animation. In recent years, as our passion for all things VR/AR has grown, we’ve been drawn to an important challenge: to enable people thousands of miles apart to collaborate effectively in virtual environments, just as they might in a real physical setting. In 2016, Santtu and our CXO Juha Ruistola revealed the first multi-user VR prototypes. These proved an instant hit. A year later, as we crystallized our new mission, vision and strategy, Glue was born. Since then, our 30-strong team has continued to build on our legacy and break new ground in multi-user VR software, developing Glue into the fully-featured virtual collaboration platform we are today. In May 2024 Glue was successfully acquired by Hyperspace, continuing the mission of bringing teams together for delightful and productive experiences across the globe.

Hiberworld
HiberWorld, a free, web-first metaverse platform, was founded in 2017. HiberWorld is based in Gothenburg, Sweden, and is led by Michael Yngfors, Mattias Johansson, and Sean Kauppinen. The team has over 60 years of experience in digital media, including developing and launching games for companies like Sony, EA, and Ubisoft. HiberWorld is a no-code platform that supports millions of virtual worlds and uses a proprietary 3D engine. It also incorporates Web3 technology to support digital ownership and interoperability. IMVU
Founded in 2004, IMVU is an online virtual world and social networking site. IMVU members use 3D avatars to meet new people, chat, create, and play games.

Kitely
Founded by Ilan Tochner and Oren Hurvitz, Kitely is the biggest commercial provider of virtual worlds based on OpenSim technology. We host over 15,000 virtual worlds. Kitely virtual worlds have been used for training, education, collaboration, simulations, art exhibitions, machinima creation, theatrical performances, role playing, information centers, book promotions, 3D design, and entertainment activities.

Mibo
The Dutch social meeting platform Mibo was launched in October 2020. The idea for Mibo came about during the COVID-19 lockdown in March 2020, when people were stuck at home. Mibo is a video chat platform that combines videoconferencing with walking around in a 3D world. It allows users to walk around with audio intensities that vary based on proximity, similar to the real world. Mibo is designed for team drinks, social mixers, and networking events.

Moshi Monsters
Launched in 2008, Moshi Monsters was a British children's web browser massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) aimed at children aged 6–12, with over 80 million registered users in 150 territories worldwide.

Nanome
Nanome, a virtual reality software company that specializes in molecular modeling and bio-technology, was founded in 2015 by a group of University of California, San Diego engineering students. The company's founders include Steven McCloskey, Keita Funakawa, Edgardo Leija, and Samuel Hessenauer. McCloskey came up with the idea for Nanome after realizing that nano engineering data could be simulated in a virtual reality system. Nanome's software has been used by over half of the world's top 20 pharmaceutical companies to help speed up the drug discovery process.

Neopets
Neopets® began way back in 1997 in a dingy little computer room. The site was launched on 15th November 1999. Neopets is a free-to-play browser game where users care for virtual pets and explore Neopia. Chat with other users, play minigames, earn virtual currencies, and trade resources.

Occupy White Walls
A PC sandbox-building, AI-driven MMO where people play with Art, developed by folks who really love architecture and abstract characters.

Poptropica
Poptropica is an online role-playing game, developed in 2007 by Pearson Education's Family Education Network, and targeted towards children aged 6 to 15.

Ravespace
RAVE.SPACE is a Berlin-based startup that soft launched in 2021. RAVE.SPACE is a leading innovator in the sphere of virtual worlds and interactive websites. Using our in-house game engine, the Rave Engine, we empower brands, organizations, and creatives to manifest their visions in the digital realm. We provide a diverse range of Web3 browser-based solutions, enabling seamless connections across virtual spaces on any device. Our services span from the creation of 3D product showcases and hosting live events, to organizing virtual art exhibitions, conducting online real estate tours, and executing online brand activations.

Red Light Center (WARNING: ADULT WORLDS)
Red Light Center (RLC) is an online virtual world was made available to the public in 2005 by Utherverse Inc. Its tag line is "EXPAND Your Fantasy". Red Light Center is modeled after Amsterdam's Red Light District. The online community site offers users virtual nightclubs, hotels, bars, movie theaters and stores.

Relm
Launched in 2023, Relm.US is a 3D, open-source, browser-based platform that enables people to work, play, and meet in a virtual space. Relm is a metaverse for life coaches, guides, and other transformation facilitators operating in a hybrid/remote setting. It's designed to foster healthy communities and relationships.

Sansar
Sansar is a social virtual reality platform, for Microsoft Windows only, developed by the San Francisco-based firm Linden Lab, and now owned by Sansar Inc. It launched in "creator beta" to the general public on July 31, 2017. The platform enables user-created 3D spaces where people can create and share interactive social experiences, such as playing games, watching videos, and having conversations in VR.

Spot
Spot is the virtual hub for your organization– bringing the spirit and utility of being in the same physical office to a digital experience. Features 3D virtual office/event space -audio/video, messaging, screen share, customizable features + so much more!

There (virtual world)
There is a 3D online virtual world created by Will Harvey and Jeffrey Ventrella. The 3D virtual world There was released to the public on 2003, after a closed beta that began in July 2001. However, the virtual world was founded in 1998. There allows people to socialize and interact in an online society.

Uttopion
Uttopion, "The Content Metaverse", is the first Spanish metaverse and its main objective is to revolutionize the way of creating, sharing and consuming online content. Through its focus on qualitative communities and being totally user-centered, Uttopion creates a virtual space where people can discover new content and interact with it and with other people in an immersive way, living a unique experience. Uttopion was born almost three years ago as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic under the name Musichood.

VirBela
Founded in 2012 by Ron Rembisz, Ph.D. and Alex Howland, Ph.D., Virbela was developed to provide an immersive, virtual solution for the real-world challenges facing organizations, remote workers, and learners today.

Virtway
Founded in 1999, Virtway is a virtual reality platform that offers a metaverse for businesses, including a free option, to help improve online presence, increase sales, and impress customers. Virtway's platform uses 3D technology and voice over IP (VoIP) to create immersive experiences for a variety of events.

Voxel Architects
Voxel Architects was established in 2014 as an architectural firm by a consortium of accomplished Architects, Engineers, and Urban Planners from Pulchowk Engineering College, Nepal. VoxelArchitects is the first architecture firm from the Metaverse. Creating digital dreams into reality.

w3rlds
Founded in 2018, W3rlds is a platform that allows businesses to create virtual worlds for the metaverse. It's designed for marketing and HR, and offers tools for creating virtual storefronts, spaces, and events.

Whyville
Launched in 1999, Whyville is an educational Internet site geared towards children aged 8–14, founded and managed by Numedeon Inc. Whyville engages its uses in learning about a broad range of topics, including science, business, art and geography.

Wolf Territories Grid
Launched in 2021, The Grid of the Wolf, is a huge OpenSim Virtual world for you to discover, build a home, rent land, fly a plane.

Wonda VR
Founded in 2016, Wonda VR is a virtual reality (VR) platform that allows users to create, share, and access immersive learning and collaboration experiences. It's designed to provide real-world context and foster deeper learning through intelligent conversations and AI-powered assessments.

Wooorld
Launched in 2022, Wooorld is a social platform based on Meta Quest mixed reality. Wooorld brings a 3D world map into your room through Mixed Reality. Unlike other VR apps and games, Wooorld is about the real world. You get an immersive 3D map of the world with the most intuitive way to interact and explore. Simply grab the map with your hands to pan and zoom.

Woozworld
Woozworld is a virtual gaming community and social network service founded in 2009 and headquartered in Montreal, Quebec. Woozworld allows users to connect with each other through customizable profiles and interactive activities. Woozworld is a virtual gaming community and social network for kids that allows users to create their own online realities, interact with others, and express themselves.

XRSPACE (Manova, Go XR)
Social VR platform for the mass market. XRSPACE is an AI XR social entertainment platform where people can create, express and enjoy in the area of music, performances, comics, anime and more. We are committed to explore and re-imagine the better way to connect people and shape the communities by focusing on 3D avatars, content creation, social communication and meaningful connections. We are paving the way for everyone to immerse into the future with people-centric experiences.

Yahaha
Yahaha is a UGC-based, low-coding game creation platform and game distribution platform founded in 2020. Created by ex-Unity veterans, Yahaha's goal is to build a user-generated content platform for 3D interactive experiences, where people can come together in communities to build and play games combining virtual and real-world elements.

Zenith
Launched in 2022, Zenith: The Last City is a virtual reality open world massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) developed and published by Californian game development studio Ramen VR.

Zepeto
Launched in 2018, ZEPETO is a free mobile and web app that allows users to create and customize virtual avatars and interact with others in virtual worlds. Popular with teens and young adults, it has over 400 million users worldwide.
