SPATIAL

Spatial is a 3D gaming hub where creators craft and share immersive social experiences for web, mobile, and VR. They're transforming online interaction from passive watching to active play. Think YouTube, but for games. Spatial was founded in 2017 by Anand Agarawala and Jinha Lee, whose mission is to make the internet more social and fun. Previously, Anand led the creation of interactive computer interfaces, while Jinha pioneered AR technology, transforming screens into portals to fantastical worlds.

WebXR Virtual Worlds

“Spatial is taking computing into a collaborative medium by turning any room into a 3D workspace. It is pioneering an entirely new way to work through Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR), re-defining the workplace to the way it should be — blending the best of real and digital worlds by mirroring how we move, think and create in physical space but with the unlimited possibilities of digital tools. In the process, teams grow closer, think bigger, and accomplish things faster. Imagine Zoom with Holograms. Imagine feeling like you’re working side by side with someone who is thousands of miles away. Using life-like avatars and connecting to the knowledge work tools we know and love, Spatial provides AR or VR 3D workspaces that allow users to upload, create, share and iterate on 2D and 3D ideas and documents in the space around them and in real time,” said Anand Agarawala.

WHY SPATIAL

The Virtual Worlds Museum chose to feature Spatial for a variety of reasons.
